My mom gets this every once in a while and I was wondering if what diet can she maintain to prevent this from coming back? I'm afraid that she might not be able to get all the nutrients that she needs if she starts a restricted diet. So, any suggestions? _________________ Human Edited SEO Friendly Directory |

Exercise, even a small amount, can bring down and elevated blood pressure (hypertension). I know someone who had a fairly dramatic reduction by adding two ten-minute walks a day. She told her doctor that couldn't possibly be the cause, but the doctor insisted it was enough.
In the same way, a small weight loss can also have a big effect in reducing blood pressure. We seem to have thresholds at which our blood pressure increases. As little as ten pounds can make a difference.
Salt contributes to high blood pressure, too. Water retention raises blood pressure, and salt increase the amount of water we retain.
There are medications that can be taken every day that will help keep blood pressure under control. |

I know someone with hypertension, and a nutrition DOES help. In fact, the doctor specifically told him to not drink alcohol, or anything too fatty or unhealthy.
Exercise and good diet usually makes it go away, don't worry. |
