A few years ago my Dr. decided to perscribe xenical for me. I went to the pharmacy to get it filled only to find out that my insurance will not cover it. Do you think that it is worth the $150 it would cost me per month. Also have you heard anything more about Xenical being approved for over the counter sale?

You're right bbw24 Xenical has been approved now for over-the-counter sale.
But some critics said that after the this approval Xenical will be the most misused and abused drugs over sold to the american public.

I did not hear that it was approved as of yet in the US. Where did you get your information or are you located outside the US? I am eager to try the new over the counter version and would like to know where I can get it.

I don't think that it has been approved by the FDA for use in the US yet. I belive that the last that I heard that it was in the final stages for approval. The only thing that I am worried about with this is that is going to be less of a dose then the perscription and I don't know how well it will work at a lower dose.

It has been approved. There was an article about it in the New York Times. The dosage will be half the original.

Xenical is an approved over-the-counter drug. A commercial is being shown on TV to promote this product. I know somebody who uses Xenical. It is really effective. But it costs a lot.
