Even if a drug has side effects that are not so great, would you take it to lose your unwanted weight? I think that sometimes the ends justify the means. I would take a pill as long as it did not make me nausious all of the time and as long as it did not severly affect my bowls. _________________ WeightWatcher |

I am pretty desperate to loose weight but I don't think that I would take a pill that had negative side effects that did not go away after the two week "getting used" to it period.

I would take anything as long as it would help me loose weight. I can't take being as heavy as I am any longer and am willing to try just about anything to get this weight off of me.

I am sorry to hear that you are having such a tough time cleoterrier, I know how frustrating weight loss can be as I have been fighting it for quite a while now. I would suggest though that you focus on being healthy more than anything, you can be overweight and still be healthy, which is not the case with some of the pills that you could take, some of them could actually make you less healthy then you already are, so use caution.

Just an update that after I read my post I realize how stupid I sounded. I am looking forward to my new lease on life and the new attitude that I have been able to aquire with work with my therapist. I now know that being heavy is not the absolute worst thing in the world and that I am more than just my weight.

I am glad that you have come to this point. I once was much like you in that I was so desperate and I thought that all I was is a number by my weight and that is all I was worth. I have since gotten over that complex but I know that for health reasons I need to lose. Best Wishes!

I would also not try taking any pills that would have that negative of a side effect on me. I am trying to get healthy so the last thing that I want to do is take something that would make me unhealthy.

It is important to know the dangers of diet pills and diet pill side effects. One of the dangers of diet pills that inhibit the absorption of fats are gastrointestinal side effects, such as, oily spotting, flatus with discharge, fecal urgency, fatty/oily stool, oily evacuation, increased defecation, and fecal incontinence. Other gastrointestinal diet pill side effects may include: abdominal pain, nausea, infectious diarrhea, and rectal pain.
